In the Declaration of Independence, Jefferson states that "among" these inalienable rights is life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
In saying among, there is the presumption that there are more natural rights than those three, even if he never articulates them. So what are they? Why would Jefferson say the word "among" and not tell us more about them? What should they be? Let me know in the comments section and enjoy your weekend!

I would presume the right to individuality is among those inalienable rights. Considering that it could be detrimental to society to draw the line in the sand on what rights are inalienable it would be unwise to express absolutism. Jefferson most likely realized this and decided to leave the topic open ended for his premature nation. This is, however, a complicated question, and I lack the insight to name every inalienable right. My only question is what rights shouldn't be inalienable. What rights are dispensable?
